FHN Vision - Healthcare Excellence for our Communities

FHN started with the July 1, 1902, opening of a 40-bed hospital facility on upper Stephenson Street in Freeport. In 1984, the Freeport Regional Healthcare Foundation was formed with Freeport Memorial Hospital as a subsidiary of the Foundation. On Feb. 1, 1995, the organization became Freeport Health Network. In 2003, the network changed its name to FHN to more accurately reflect its dedication to caring for the health of families across northwest Illinois, not just in Freeport. Today, FHN is a nonprofit community healthcare system serving northwest Illinois and southern Wisconsin. FHN Family Healthcare Centers and FHN Specialty Care Centers Average 1,500 daily visits; 560,000 patient contacts annually with 80+ medical providers offering 45 specialties at 17 locations in 5 counties across northwest Illinois. FHN Memorial Hospital provides 24-hour emergency care and has 50+ on-staff physicians. FHN continues to provide excellent healthcare to our communities through Hospital Care, Physician Practices, The Leonard C. Ferguson Cancer Center at FHN Memorial Hospital, Hospice Care and many other services that can be found on the FHN website.

FHN provides locally based and governed medical care in our region. However, we could not do that without your support.
